Message Yeah, I've been watching that. What Soenke is referring to is the week long debate on how to best implement namespaces. I think the key issues so far are around the need to support multiple namespaces in one file like:

namespace foo {
  class ObjectA {
   }
}

namespace bar {
   class ObjectB {
    }
}

I can't say for sure but my guess is that conversation is pretty much irrelevant because my hunch is they will still support the current syntax of:

namespace foo;

And even if they don't the "fix" would simple involve fixing the addIncludes() method to use which ever syntax they land on.

The other issue they've been discussing is around how all this effects opcode caching (in relation to autoload) and Phar.

Following the current php-dev flames about how namespace syntax looks it
could be a good idea to wait a bit :)

On the other hand .... it's trunk and won't ever be released before php
5.3 ;-)
